Writing is communicating. Writers aren't the only people who write; everyone writes.
We write because writing is fun! It allows us to share with one another in ways we couldn't under usual day to day restrictions. It is a collaborative process.
Writing can seem difficult at first, but you have to become familiar with the language of writers, what your audience wants to hear, and how to communicate it to them clearly and eloquently.
Writing is hard! Do not stifle the creativity of your students and discourage them from future writing.
Writing is a way of expressing creativity. Everyone has something to say!
We write because we have something to say! We are constantly inspired by the world around us in the times we are least expecting.
If words give us power, when do we start to lose our power over words? When do we start to feel that some of us are "good" at language and even have a shot at being "writers" while the rest of just happen to use it and and don''t dare consider ourselves in that league? ---Julia Cameron The Right to Write
